Thursday is the day Thanksgiving.  The day where we give thanks.  We give thanks to each other and the country and generally blow smoke up each others asses.

This post is no different.  Today the Coots would like to thank everyone who comes here and reads this silly blog, or as it should be called, Ralph Carlson’s second blog.

Personally, I would like to thank Ralph for keeping this thing afloat and running.  I would like to thank Bob for pretending to care about this site.

I would like to thank Butterball for providing tasty turkeys for the holiday’s. (I am hoping that they would like to become a sponsor and have glowing reviews published on a few blogs. (they will need to ship 1 to CA, 1 to UT, and 1 to GA.  Email me for addresses.))

This is the time of year when there is a lot of introspection and review of the past year and our lives.  Pretty soon, we will be pretending to make resolutions that we almost believe we will keep.  We work all year to make some cash to buy things for each other that will be forgotten by February.

But Thanksgiving is different.  We can get together with family and or friends, fight, make up and eat.  and Football. There is always football.  Now there are 3 games on Thanksgiving, and they start after the parade so there is nothing keeping me from watching, or listening more like it.  I have dinner to make.

If you are reading this, Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope you all have a good day with some good food and company.  And because I know you are all preparing for “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” I want to remind you that Amazon.com has some great deals for you and It would be a great help to keeping the Coots ship afloat if you would shop through our affiliate link!  Click the Amazon logo over there in the sidebar and you will be taken to the wonder of Amazon, and we get a small percentage of whatever you buy.  And it doesn’t cost you anything but an extra click.

Thanks again for reading our blog, Happy Thanksgiving.  (amazon.com)

  1. Justin,
Don’t forget that new American Thanksgiving tradition- shopping. Last year we celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday because one of my sons works retail. This year we will probably have two Thanksgivings because our LA son will be here on Thursday only and the other son still works retail.
I could rant about this but the thought of it just wears me out.

    • You know it frustrates the hell out of me that we can’t have holiday’s anymore. Places used to be closed thanksgiving. stores would close at noon or even 2 and then stay closed until the next morning. Now, places are open the whole time. It is Un-American. I know there are places that will be closed for 15 minutes on Christmas and then be wide open too. There should be a law. But if we have to have a new tradition of shopping, lets shop at Amazon.com (affiliate link in sidebar—>)
